Student branch of IEEE VEC is functioning in Vaagdevi Engineering College, Warangal, over a period of 3 years. IEEE VEC SB was formed in the year 2017 on October 7th. It is an emerging and active student branch with great involvement from the student members. IEEE VEC SB have conducted many events at college level. Our graph has been increasing drastically from the first ever event conducted. We have grown a lot and within a short period of time,we got the emerging student branch award from IEEE Hyderabad Section. The branch is well encouraged to promote their ideas for authentic technical purposes. IEEE VEC SB currently stands with around 50 members and it is always set to take up challenges, face it and encounters it to boost confidence across the students in professional career aspects. We are all set with a mission and will make the path towards our vision and make other grow. “Grow and Let Grow”.

The IEEE includes 39 technical Societies, organized around specialized technical fields, with more than 300 local organizations that hold regular meetings. The IEEE Standards Association oversees the standardization activities of the IEEE. IEEE offers educational opportunities such as IEEE e Learning Library, the Education Partners Program, Standards in Education and Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The IEEE provides learning opportunities within the engineering sciences, research, and technology.

IEEE Hyderabad Section is one of the most active sections of IEEE in India. IEEE was formally introduced in Hyderabad, in June 1981, when a group of engineers in Hyderabad decided to form an IEEE Subsection. The Subsection was rapidly elevated to a full section in 1984. All the IEEE members residing in the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are the members of IEEE Hyderabad Section. At present IEEE Hyderabad Section has 86 active student branches with 5800+ as the member strength. IEEE Hyderabad Section is the proud recipient of the Outstanding Large Section award for the year 2019.
